Position Title: Managing Director of Sales and Distribution
Business Unit: WM - FNTC
Reports to: EVP of Advisory Business Group
Position Overview:
This position is primarily responsible for the direct oversight, development and execution of our strategic sales initiatives with an emphasis on growth through strategy execution. This includes driving the expansion of business and product offerings in collaboration with peer leaders and other internal business partners across the organization. Ensures consistency and discipline in all sales management practices. Engages with and helps to develop the sales team to drive desired results and market growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops, communicates and evaluates the sales initiatives to optimize the achievement of goals. This includes ensuring our product offerings and solutions meet our clients needs and elevates their overall experience. Support expansion plans and acquisition opportunities.
Manages many facets of the sales process including pipeline management, client segmentation, fee schedules, sales reporting and analytics and compliance to internal procedures and regulatory matters. Manages the sales and financial plan development and execution including building out our financial, tax and estate planning discipline.
Develops the appropriate recruiting efforts to maintain the required staff and expertise to sustain a competitive market position. Key focus on developing a bench of potential team members for quick placement when vacancies arise. Plays an integral role in helping to develop the sales teammates to ensure their effectiveness in the roles.
Collaborates with members of the senior leadership team on matters requiring joint oversight, including with incentive plan management and validates consistent alignment and execution of various business unit solutions. Drive in-market initiatives working with wholesale banking partners on items like market events, book of business reviews, client engagements, etc.
Develops overall strategy to improve sales integration opportunities and a reliable source of sales opportunity externally. Manage key internal relationships and external centers of influence to reinforce the importance of referrals for our business model.
Conducts regular sales meetings with applicable management team to review and evaluate the effectiveness of the sales and service strategies. Work collaboratively to ensure consistency is achieved across our footprint with a focus on sharing industry and company best practices.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
